Why book an Electrical Safety Check?

One of the most important reasons to get a safety check is to help prevent fire. Electrical fires are one of the leading causes of property damages each year. On average, there are 3000 house fires in Victoria each year.

Knowing exactly when an electrical inspection is needed will help you to have it booked in advance or when the time comes.

Here are examples of times when an inspection is needed:

old house

Your House is Old

If your home is over 10 years old, you may face electrical issues like frequent power outages or tripped circuit breakers. Our electrical inspection ensures we identify safety problems, reducing the risk of electrical fires and keeping your family safe.

storm

After a Major Storm

Storm damage and flooding can severely impact your home’s electricity systems, posing a significant safety risk. If your house has been affected by major storm damage, it’s important to arrange an electrical inspection.

before buying house

After Buying a House

Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring your home’s electrical components are in good working order, especially for older properties. Contact a licensed electrician to inspect and test your appliances, wiring, switchboard, and earthing connections. New electrical installations should come with an ‘Electrical Compliance Certificate’ to ensure they meet regulations.

after buying house

Before Buying a House

Conducting an electrical inspection before purchasing a home is recommended. It helps identify potential costly electrical issues and may even aid in negotiating a lower price. If your building inspection doesn’t cover electrical aspects, hire an electrician to check the wiring, outlets, power box, smoke alarms, and voltage levels.

renting

When Renting a Home

Notify your landlord or real estate agent immediately if you encounter electrical problems while renting. Landlords are legally responsible for maintaining safe electrical fittings and installations, so prompt repairs are essential.
